Jungkook (BTS) door politie ondervraagd na auto-ongeluk

Het management van BTS heeft bevestigd dat Jungkook dit weekend betrokken was bij een auto-ongeluk.

De zanger reed op 2 november door het Yongsan-district van Seoul toen hij naar verluidt een taxi raakte. De 22-jarige ster heeft sindsdien zijn fout in het incident toegegeven en er is een schikking getroffen met de andere bestuurder.

Big Hit bevestigde in een verklaring: “The police have not closed this case yet, so we cannot reveal the exact details, but Jungkook was driving his car last week when he had a minor collision with another vehicle due to his own mistake.

“Both the victim and Jungkook did not sustain any major injuries.”

De verklaring ging verder: “Jungkook admitted that he violated the road Traffic Act immediately after the accident. The scene of the accident was resolved and police questioning was completed according to the due process, and an amicable settlement was made with the victim afterwards.

“We once again apologise to the victim, and we also express apologies for causing concern to fans.”

Naar aanleiding van het ongeluk werd Jungkook naar verluidt ondervraagd bij het politiebureau van Yongsan in Seoul over mogelijke schending van de Road Traffic Act.

Het nieuws kwam slechts enkele dagen nadat BTS het ‘Love Yourself’ tijdperk had beëindigd met drie uitverkochte stadionshows in Seoul.

Bij het bekijken van de show schreef NME’s Rhian Daly: “This chapter in BTS’ story so far has undoubtedly been their most powerful.
